The Holy Family
of Nazareth
The liturgical proposals are mainly imitative. The Holy Family is the classical model offered and apparently an ordinary family: a worker, a humble woman and a child. They lived in a poor house, dug in the stone of the hill, mixed with the many others - leaned one on another - that shaped the little village of Nazareth. The worker, whose name was Joseph, was a carpenter of the village. Those who saw him working night and day, or those who met him in the street, bent under the weight of a board, could never be able to guess that he had frequent conversations with Angels and that he was in charge of the biggest matter in the human history: the Saviour.
The woman, whose name was Mary, was a normal woman of the village. Those who saw Her every day at the spring or spun cloth or sewed, who could ever be able to guess that She was the Virgin, who generated the Messiah through the power of the Holy Ghost.
But She was the very one who proclaimed in front of Her cousin Elisabeth: All generations shall call me blessed.
The Child, whose name was Jesus, was a good-natured and very intelligent child. Only once he disobeyed His parents: when He was twelve years old, the all family travelled to Jerusalem, but He left unnoticed the caravan and His mother found Him in the Temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions, He gave such brilliant answers that everybody was astonished.
Once He came back home, He returned to His ordinary life. He worked with His father and obeyed His parents. He grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon Him.
In the Nazareth house, first of all, there was the absolute determination to accept Gods will.
They leaded a wretched life, but from where did they take the strength to stay serene and trusting?
The prayer was a daily, constant presence in that house.
Today the family is at the centre of endless polemical disputes but the contemporary man is far from reaching any solution.
To put forward the solution of the prayer looks like anachronistic, out of the matter and meaningless. Which is the result?
The Nazareth Family, even with many problems, was serene and trusting; because it believed that every solution was in Gods hands.
We, instead, not only we are unable to find any answer, but often we worse the situation, and find ourselves lost, powerless, while the distrust and the desperation catches us.
A story tells: One sticky night, the Virgin was sitting on Her threshold, with the Baby asleep on Her knees, when a crowd of voicing happy young people passed by; the Baby wasnt awaked by it. Then a joyful bridal procession passed by, but the Baby wasnt awaked by it. In the meanwhile the Virgin Mary was reflecting on Simeons words: A sword shall pierce through Thy own soul, suddenly a tear streamed Her face. The Baby jumped and opened His eyes wide, and asked to His mother what was happened, I have heard a loud sound as of something falling into my heart!.
The false answer of those who say there is no room, this was the very thing falling into His heart. Remember that in this tumultuous world, the silent tears of mothers and fathers make still the heart of the Son of God jumping, He who is the only One able to solve all your problems!
The Spanish Catholics, true believers and devoted to the Nazareth Family, expressed their devotion by building a sumptuous house (Sagrada Familia in Barcellona) for Joseph and Mary, they who never found a real home.

Una riflessione
Questo frammento del Vangelo di Luca sembra il compimento della parabola del fariseo e del pubblicano (Lc 18.9) Umile e sincero di cuore, il pubblicano pregava:" Ó Dio, abbi pietá di me, che sono un peccatore" e cosí oggi contempliamo come Gesú perdona e ristabilisce Zaccheo. Il perdono divino porta Zaccheo alla conversione. Ecco qui una delle cose originali del Vangelo: il perdono di Dio é "gratis" non tanto a causa della nostra conversione che Dio ci perdona, ma succede in senso inverso: la misericordia di Dio ci muove al ringraziamento e dare una risposta chiara.
RINGRAZIAMENTO
E' terminato anche il 2015: è doveroso un ringraziamento a Dio
Hora ruit dicevano gli antichi; il tempo corre velocissimo.
E ci siamo consumati lintero 2015.
E un anno della nostra vita, trascorso, e che non ritornerà mai più.
E tempo di consuntivi per tutti; le imprese, le aziende, i bilanci familiari
Vogliamo provare, io e te, a sintetizzare questo anno 2007 che passa definitivamente nel corso inarrestabile del tempo?
Chiediamoci onestamente, se lanno trascorso, ha aiutato la nostra crescita umana e cristiana.

Anche dentro questi contorni di un discorso senza pretese, qualcosa deve essersi proiettato davanti alla nostra mente, a proposito di questo titolo di sovrana grandezza: la maternità
divina di Maria. Ci saremo almeno persuasi, se vi fosse stato bisogno, che sia assai più facile compilare un manuale di preghiere all Immacolata di Lourdes, o narrare la vicenda
tutt'altro che chiara della presunta Casa della Madonna di Loreto, oppure allestire un trattatello, ahimè semi inutile, sui numerosi messaggi di veggenti mariani, che affrontare
questo genere di riflessione, sulla dignità della madre di Dio.

Moltissimi Papi hanno raccomandato con bellissime parole questa preghiera mariana, il Santo Rosario. PIO XI diceva che, " fra le preghiere alla Madonna, il Rosario occupa il primo posto." Pio XII ci ha lasciato detto che " il Rosario é la sintesi di tutto il Vangelo, meditazione dei misteri del Signore, inno di lovoro, preghiera della famiglia, compendio della vita cristiana e maniera di ottenere favori celesti." Il Rosario é una preghiera evangelica che ci mostra le tappe fondamentali del misterio di Gesú Cristo, visto a partire dal punto di vista della Vergine Maria.

Filho, muito proveitoso e seguro para ti é o ocultares a graça da devoção, sem te desvaneceres com ela, não falares muito da mesma, nem exagerares o seu valor: antes, despreza a ti mesmo e teme que não sejas digno da graça recebida. Importa que não te apegues demasiadamente à essas emoções, que em muito depressa podem se transformar em outras contrárias. Estando em graça, pensa no abandono e na miséria em que costumas cair, quando ela falta.

Really the latin meaning of " Sufrage "means simply " HELP " In recent times we have the real meaning when we talk about electoral suffrage for candidates,a support for a vote.

La prima cosa che dobbiamo osservare quando preghiamo é
conoscere la sua forza, la sua efficacia e abbandonarci interamente nelle mani
del Padre. É avere la certezza che tutto quanto chiediamo al Signore, Lui ci
ascolta e se non ci dà quello che desideriamo o pensare di avere bisogno,
dobbiamo avere la certezza che il Signore ci esaudisce di una forma che a noi
non é percepito il come. Dio non si dimentica
di noi e quando ci collochiamo nelle sue mani Lui vede più avanti e vede quello
che noi non possiamo immaginare per il nostro bene.
